1st Summit in Pennsylvania announces new chairman and CEO
New leadership has been named at 1st Summit Bancorp of Johnstown in Pennsylvania.
The $1.4 billion-asset company said in a press release that Eric Renner had resigned as president and CEO due to personal reasons. Renner, who had led 1st Summit since January 2023, also stepped down from the company’s board.
Allison Johnson, who is chief financial officer and chief risk officer, was selected to succeed Renner. She will retain her previous titles.
The company also announced that Rex McQuaide had replaced John McCall as chairman.
“We appreciate Eric’s dedication and hard work on behalf of the company and the bank over the past six years,” McQuaide said in the release. “We are lucky to have someone as strong and capable as [Allison] to step up and lead this organization. [She] has the full support of the board to continue to lead the organization and meet the challenges of the current market.”
