Large group planning Integrity Bank in Houston

Another group is planning a bank in Houston.

Organizers of the proposed Integrity Bank applied with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. on June 30. The application wasn’t immediately available.

Integrity would be a state savings bank.

A legal notice submitted for the planned de novo listed 19 organizers.

The organizers are Charles Neff Jr., Hazem Ahmed, John Able, Jamil Baba, Oscar Baker, Eric Calderon, Carol Chiu, Caroline Dwairy, Adel Foteh, Marwan Foteh, John Ganim, Shaun Leone, Charles Popeney, Albert Reese Jr., Dheeraj Singal, Anton Shanar, Vican Tan Sun, Vincent Tan Sun and Jeffrey Van Wart.

At least two other de novos are being planned around Houston, including Houston Bank of Commerce & Trust and Inspire Bank.

Several new banks have debuted in the area in recent years. Gulf Capital Bank opened in December 2019, while Agility Bank launched in April 2022. Texas Traditions Bank opened in Katy last fall.
