Louisiana Credit Union League hires new CEO

The Louisiana Credit Union League has a new CEO selected.

The association said in a press release that Juan Fernandez Ceballos will also become its president in June. He is president and CEO of the Credit Union Association of New Mexico, a role he has held since 2021.

Ceballos will succeed Steven Liberto, who has filled in on an interim basis. Liberto, executive vice president of business solutions, stepped into the role when the association parted ways with Matt Rookard.

“The board is thrilled to welcome Juan as our next CEO,” Steve Webb, the association’s chairman, said in a press release. “His experience is an invaluable asset to the League and the Credit Unions of Louisiana.”
