Horizon Bancorp in Michigan City, Ind., has its next CEO lined up.
The $7.7 billion-asset company said in a press release that Thomas Prame, its president, will succeed Craig Dwight on June 1. Dwight will remain chairman, while Prame will still serve as president after becoming CEO.
Dwight has been the company’s CEO since 2001.
Prame joined Horizon last August. He previously served as CEO of community banking at First Midwest Bancorp, which was sold to Old National Bancorp.
“Craig’s leadership extends beyond the success of Horizon, and he has also made significant tangible impacts through his involvement in the state and local communities that Horizon calls home,” Michele Magnuson, Horizon’s lead director, said in the release.
“Craig has also positively impacted many external organizations in our markets, and he has been the key driver of Horizon’s people first culture focused on exceptional service and sensible advice,” Magnuson added.
