INSIGHTS INTO THE BANKING INDUSTRY

ACNB in Pennsylvania to rebrand Maryland operations

ACNB in Gettysburg, Pa., is applying its brand to its operations in Maryland.

The $2.7 billion-asset company said in a press release that NWSB Bank and FCB Bank will become ACNB Bank on Jan. 1. The current brands will be retired.

“We believe this brand alignment will eliminate any confusion for our customers who bank in multiple markets, as well as will allow us to operate more cohesively under one name and one brand throughout our footprint in southcentral Pennsylvania and central Maryland,” James Helt, ACNB’s president and CEO, said in the release.

“There will also be a stronger association in all markets between the bank and the insurance subsidiary, ACNB Insurance Services,” Helt added.

The ACNB logo and color scheme will begin to appear at branches in the first quarter.

ACNB bought New Windsor Bancorp in Taneytown, Md., on July 1, 2017. The company bought Frederick County Bancorp in Frederick, Md., on Jan. 11, 2020.
