The U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida ended the order between the company and the Department of Justice, dismissing the related civil action with prejudice. The recent order came after the Justice Department submitted an unopposed motion to lift the enforcement action.
The order addressed alleged violations of fair lending laws in the Jacksonville, Fla., market.
Ameris had agreed to a consent order and pledged to provide $7.5 million of mortgage subsidies over a five-year period. It also committed $900,000 for focused advertising and outreach and $600,000 to community development partnerships.
