Mission Valley Bancorp in Sun Valley, Calif., has a new president.
The company said in a press release that Brian Carlson had also become president and CEO of Mission Valley Bank. Carlson, who was managing director of SBA and president of total SBA, succeeded Tamara Gurney.
Gurney, who remains the company’s CEO, will also become its executive chair.
“I have known Brian for many years and have seen both his banking expertise and the way he builds teams and relationships,” Gurney said in the release. “He understands Mission Valley, he understands the importance of our culture, and I have confidence in his ability to lead the bank day to day.”
