First Community in S.C. to split leadership of its bank

First Community in Lexington, S.C., is splitting the leadership roles at its bank.

The $2.4 billion-asset company said in a press release that  Vaughn Dozier will become CEO of First Community Bank on Jan. 1, while Drew Painter will become president. Dozier and Painter have served as commercial and retail banking officers; they will succeed J. Ted Nissen, who is retiring.

“Through his passion and hard work, Ted has contributed so much to so many during his very distinguished career,” Mike Crapps, the company’s president and CEO, said in the release. “His contributions … have been significant, his impact is felt throughout our organization, and we will continue to benefit from the legacy that he has created for years to come.”

First Community also said that, effective Jan. 1, Michael Cromer and Trey Werner will become regional executives.
