Truist Financial in Charlotte, N.C., reached a seven-year agreement to become the title sponsor of the PGA Tour’s golf tournament in the bank’s headquarters city.
After being held in Philadelphia next year, the newly renamed Truist Championship will return to the Quail Hollow Club starting in 2026. The course will host the PGA Championship next year.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
“We look forward to partnering with the PGA Tour to elevate this wonderful championship event and Truist’s deep community impact, and to further fulfill our purpose to inspire and build better lives and communities,” Truist Chairman and CEO Bill Rogers said in a press release.
Wachovia and Wells Fargo were previous title sponsors of the tournament.
