Dime in New York forms national deposits group

Dime Community Bancshares in Hauppauge, N.Y., has launched a national deposits group.

The $13.6 billion-asset company said in a press release that the group will focus on areas such as death care services, escrow servicing, family offices, software and third-party payment processors.

Martin Ball, who was head of national deposits at Bank OZK, was named head of national deposits. Glen Carballo, formerly vice president in the national deposits group at Valley Bank, was named director of national deposits.

“We chose to move to Dime for its strong vision of marrying a single point of contact approach with best-in-class technology,” Ball said in the release.

“This combination will allow us to service deposit-rich niches with enhanced offerings,” Ball added. “We look forward to attracting and servicing customers in targeted verticals with a model that is focused on expertise, efficiency and execution.”
