INSIGHTS INTO THE BANKING INDUSTRY

Liberty Bank’s digital division launches business card

Owners Bank, the digital bank division of Liberty Bank in Middletown, Conn., has launched a new business credit card.

The Owners Bank Business Credit Card is open to businesses of all sizes, including sole proprietors. The credit limit can be allocated as needed among up to six cardholders.

“We believe business credit cards are a necessity for maintaining and growing a business of any size,” David Mitchell, Owners’ CEO, said in the release.

“We were tired of seeing small businesses losing out via application denial or being forced into a consumer card that ultimately would not properly serve their business,” he added.

Small business owners in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island can apply for a credit limit of up to $50,000.

The $7 billion-asset Liberty launched the digital bank in April.
