Hawthorn Bancshares in Jefferson City, Mo., will soon have a new CEO.
The $1.9 billion-asset company said in a press release that Brent Giles will also become CEO of its bank on May 1. Giles previously served as president and CEO of Blue Valley Bank.
Gregg Bexten, regional president of the bank’s central region, will become Hawthorn’s president. Bexten joined Hawthorn in 1998.
Giles and Bexten will succeed David Turner, who will remain chairman.
“Brent’s extensive experience and proven leadership will be an incredible asset to shareholders, customers and employees,” Turner said in the release. “We also look forward to Gregg Bexten’s expanded leadership as we continue building on our many solid relationships.”
Giles and Bexten will both join Hawthorn’s board.
