A group is looking to form a national bank in Pennsylvania.
Organizers applied with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. to create Metis National Association in Hanover. The application wasn’t immediately available.
A legal notice filed in conjunction with the application lists five organizers: Pete Amstutz, Laura Bowles, Tom Kunau, Randy Gilster, and Addie Bendory.
Bowles and Gilster bring deep experience in bank finance, risk, and mortgage operations. Bowles was CFO of Movement Mortgage from March 2014 to December 2024; earlier, she directed consumer and small business lending products at Citi and was a risk executive for home loans originations at Bank of America.
Gilster is a 20-year financial services veteran who has held key roles in business and technology operations spanning origination, servicing, and default solutions. As senior vice president of business capability development at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, he oversaw content management across the loan lifecycle along with strategy and financial reform assessments.
