Bank of America enters Wisconsin, plans first branches in Ala. and La.

Bank of America in Charlotte, N.C., is continuing to fill in its national footprint.

The megabank said in a press release that it opened its first Wisconsin branches, with locations in Madison and Milwaukee. The bank plans to open 19 branches across the state through 2030.

BofA said it plans to enter Alabama (Birmingham) and Louisiana (New Orleans) early next year.

“Our clients do more and more of their banking digitally, but when they’re buying a home, starting a business or planning for retirement, they want to sit down with someone they trust,” Brian Moynihan, Bank of America’s CEO, said in the release. “That’s why we keep building.”
